Submod without explicit dependency

PostPosted by Tiranasta » Thu Feb 23, 2017 09:09

So I made a submod that has no explicit dependency on AGOT, but I'm pretty sure it's not working because the base mod has replace_path entries for the folders my submod adds files to. Is there a way to make this work? I'd rather not add an explicit dependency because I keep multiple versions of the AGOT mod installed at once (in different folders with different .mod files), so there is no single name I could use as a dependency.

The game adds a .mod file to \Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\A Game of Thrones\mod whenever you use a dependent mod, I think if you add a copy of yours to all such folders of mods you play, it will read it.

Hm. Thanks for the reply, but I'd rather not have to remember to readd that file each time I delete one of those folders. I think I'll just merge my submod into (each copy of) the main mod directly. It's only two files, and neither file exists in the base mod.
