Ι have a question about modding and artifacts

First i didnt knew where to put this question so i am putting it here in general discussion

So here is the thing.

I want to add some custum-made artifacts in the game but i dont know how to do it without screwing up the game.

So i need a quick modding lesson on how to add some custom-made artifacts.

Adding an artifact itself is not hard, integrating it to actually do anything with the events to find it is a different matter.

To make an artifact just copy and paste an existing one then change the name, options and modifiers of it to be what you want. Then add a localisation for it by doing <item_name> and <item_name>_desc for the name and description (without the <> obviously) and finally add two images in gfx/interface/inventory/artifacts one that is 118x118 and one that is 59x59 called <item_name> and <item_name>_small and link those in to an interface file.

Honestly just copy and pasting all mentions of an existing artifact then slightly changing them.
If a post is edited in this colour then it was done by me for moderation.

Oh ok so i ll just copy-paste the existing artifacts and change them accordingly and place them in the bottom of the file right?

What i havent understood so far is how to tie my custom-made artifact to an event that grants it/revokes it.

You would have to modify the artifact quest events to add yours in where appropriate
