Modding Help - R'hllor / Warlock Magic

PostPosted by CitizenQ » Wed Mar 15, 2017 21:59

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right spot.

I have a small magic mod I made for my own use in the base game. It has some targeted decisions in it that basically allow you to cast spells on the target with various effects. It seems to be compatible with this great mod, but I am trying to tie it into the magic system already present in this game. To be quite frank, I am an amateur modder at best, and not very familiar with the way CK2 mods work. So I'm stuck.

When I start the game, I have my mod, and the Game of Thrones mod loaded.

In my mods targeted decision, under the 'allow' section, I added the line

check_variable = { which = "red_god_magic" value = 2 }

and then under the 'effect' section, I added

change_variable = { which = "red_god_magic" value = -2 }

I also tried this with "warlock_magic" instead of "red_god_magic". Both ways failed. The magic counters for each type still go up in-game when the requirements are met, IE I burn someone and can then do R'hllor cure ailments, and it shows the correct number of "red_god_magic" in the description for targeted decisions for curing aliments etc. However, in the description for my targeted decisions, the counter always shows as 0, and thus they are unavailable.

Am I missing something in the coding, or is it because they are two separate mods? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Actually, I think I have figured it out. I'm just dumb. Forgot the FROM.
