Hello there
I made slavery legal in Westeros (playing as Aegon) but when I make someone slave I gain the Tyrant trait. How to get rid of getting this trait while making someone a slave? Where this line in a file I should edit?)

I did and now I can't enslave anybody when they got to jail. Here's code:

Well that is because you didn't copy the effect with the fix, you just removed the bit about enslaving someone. Look at the second bit of code where it has move enslave_effect = yes to after the if section.

Btw: Enslaving foriegners is the best way to go. Capturing entire courts as part of raids then enslaving them for profit is not tyrannical after all. Since no one fears for their lives if your abusing foreigners by executing or enslaving them. Just have to think like a racist bigot concerned only for his own skin to decide whats tyrannical *nods*

I read this and went to town enslaving three Summer Isles families taken during sieges. And now have quite the tyranny level. blackninja intimates that it isn't meant to work this way HERE, though, so I imagine it'll be patched at some point :)

Can't say I've tried the enslaving prisoners much since the current version, so may be an issue I just havent personally noticed. Used to enslave summer islanders quite often if they couldn't pay ransom(Since only those with 10 in one stat really will ever sell judging by the code, but they can be purged off for 5 gold in the sell slave interaction). That said, high value prisoners I generally ransomed unless they were really good or the person was out of cash. This often gave me more money to fund further slave raids while also ensuring that there were more back home for me to enslave in the future :D

Also, dont forget that slave camp level changes take a day to update, so if you pause the game, sell the slave camp level 5, then finish the war at 100% before hitting unpause, your slave camp bonuses to garrison aren't changed since it didn't update till after, while you've made a tidy profit off the lives of others :D

I ransomed off a few but I'd taken about twenty so they were soon broke, so figured a fiver a piece was better than giving them back for free, especially as I had joined the war on behalf of a vassal who was having trouble, so wasn't gonna get much else out of the war.

Good point re selling slave camps, I maxed mine and gave up slave wars figuring I couldn't get anything from them, what a fool! ^_^

Actually, can someone tell me how to check my tyranny/dishonor/fear levels? I'm only guessing it's truly horrendous but am quite intrigued to see how long this little oopsey is gonna hang over my previously honorable family :lol:

In 1.4, I believe that enslaving foreign prisoners causes tyranny but selling them into slavery doesn't.
