Portraits Expanded (White Walkers, Brindlemen,Greyscale and more)

This Submod changes the portraits of some cultures.. for now theres only white walkers and brindlemen but i'll add more in the future.
You can download all the portraits with the link at the bottom of the post or you can download each individually if you like one but not the others.

Im working on the thousand islanders portraits right now and I know its a bit pointless because currently there's no province that can be played with them but you can create your custom ruler with the Ruler Designer.. so why not :lol:

Most of the graphical work its done but i dont understand how to code it in the game.
When i use the "Portrait Builder" the portraits are fine but when i open the game with the ruler designer there's always the old portraits placeholder. Anyone know how fix this?

Its related to the portraits file in the interface folder. You have to create a custom one. I suggest waiting til you do ALL the faces (YES ALL OF THEM :D) and then create said files. :D

Amazing work there!

A couple things I've noticed while browsing your files:
-You have a copy of portrait_whitewalkers.gfx inside gfx/characters/winter_male. That does nothing there and can be removed.
-You can add your own spriteTypes to any .gfx files, even new ones instead of changing and overriding those in the base mod. So you could move you four new spriteType definitions to a new file, or even to portrait_whitewalkers.gfx and thus get rid of the need of compatching portrait_sprites.gfx

Also, a question: do you plan to create new portraits for female white walkers?

Thank you for the advice :o .. as i said i've not experienced in modding so maybe the file are a bit messy.
i'll update it soon

As for the last question, i dont know. I mean.. female white walkers even show up in the current state of the mod?
Whenever there's an invasion i only saw the male one so i limited my work to them.

Your two sets so far look great! Would you be willing to try making sets for the other non-human species in the game? Like the Ibbenese, who are described by Martin to be like hairier neanderthals, or the pig-like Brindled Men.

The portraits are very well done, but I don't agree with the people saying they should be integrated into the main mod. This is how the White Walkers look in the show, but the existing portraits are much more accurate to how they're described in the books.

I've used the design of the show because it was easier having them as a base to work with.
In the end its a matter of taste.. i've tried to create something more close to the book description but i dont like the results very much

Form the wiki:
The Others are tall and gaunt, with flesh pale as milk. They have cold blue eyes that have been described as burning like ice, or being as bright as blue stars. Others have pale blue blood and shiny bones like milkglass.

maybe in the future i'll create a book version for the portraits.. but for now i'm pretty burned out ;)
