Enabling dynamic COA through save editing?

PostPosted by ManicMayo » Sat Aug 26, 2017 21:49

I'm not exactly sure how to word this in a way that's easy to understand so bear with me! If you want me to elaborate on anything, please don't hesitate to ask and I'll try my best to answer.

If I add a dynasty that has dynamic COA enabled (i.e Blackfyre or Reyne) through editing of the savefile, it won't work unless the dynasty was already in existence (with living members) at the start of my playthrough. For example, creating a Blackfyre in a bookmark where there are no living members of House Blackfyre and giving them a duchy/kingdom/empire will result in the default arms displaying even though House Blackfyre has dynamic COA enabled. How do I edit the savefile to enable dynamic COA for recreated dynasties?

57=
{
coat_of_arms=
{
data={0 10 0 32 0 0 0}
religion="noreligion"
}
set_coat_of_arms=yes
flags=
{
has_dynamic_coa=8195.1.1 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
high_valyrian=8195.1.18
kings_landing_title_grant=8205.5.18
flag_slaver_tradition=8280.5.17
}
}

Does the dynasty itself have the flag for it (in the save file)

Aaaah, that was the problem. The dynasty didn't have the dynamic_coa flag in the save file. Just added it and it worked like a charm. Century of Blood Blackfyre playthrough, here I come!

Thank you! :D
