(Request/Suggestion) CTD fix through submod?

PostPosted by brunodema » Sat Sep 23, 2017 01:49

I might have no idea of what I'm talking about and I currently have no knowledge of how modding in CK2 works, so I may be very wrong of what I'm going to talk about. Many people (including me right now) have problems with corrupted saves on the yearly autosave or getting CTD's when saving after the first day of each new year.

My personal fix is saving on the last day of each year and then manually changing the date on the savefile file to January 1st (solution for many people, acording to my research).

Wouldn't maybe be possible to create some sort of script or mod that would auto-handle this procedure? It's an idea I had and I felt that, if possible, could be the a (non-ideal) solution for people who get CTD's on these situations.

I don't think it would be possible to implement that through modding.
Smart and dumb are two sides of the same coin. Every time a new Stark is born the gods flip a coin . . . and it always seems to land on dumb.
