NVM. found it on strategy informer :)

Strategy Informer doesn't work for me. Won't download the file and if it does, it is empty.

Any other reliable places where to catch 1.07b?

If you want to 'unpatch' 1.08 back to 1.07b (steam users, et all) you need to do a few things. It's not the easiest in general, but it beats reinstalls and in the end is fairly simple.

First get the 1.07b patch downloaded from somewhere such as strategyinformer or patches-scrolls dot de the second site worked better for me.

This downloads a zip which contains an EXE for the patch files. The exe will not work for steam, and obviously is a lower version than 1.08 so we need to extract the files.

Some of you may have luck with 7zip or Winrar but I did not, which led me to the following Inno packager -unpack utility from sourceforge, search/google for innounp the current version is 037, it will be a rar file.

Inside the rar is another executable, create a new folder (wherever you want, desktop etc) and place the 1.07b patch executable, and the innounp executable in this folder.

Open a command prompt and navigate to the created folder with the two executables and run the following command:

innounp -x -y CK2_1_07b_patch.exe

This will create a folder named {app} which contains all files patched by 1.07b. At this point....

CREATE A BACKUP of your CK2 install folder, just in case!

Once that is done, simply copy everything from {app} into the CK2 install directory, eg:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings II

Overwrite everything.

So far no crashes, or other weird game behaviour on my machine (currently running win8 pro 64bit) obviously a steam install.

You want to make sure that you disable patching, so it doesnt try to re-patch to 1.08.

Hope this helps/is useful for anyone else who was going stir crazy without the mod :)

Since the new DLC is based on the Aztecs invading Europe, can any of the code from this DLC be used in Targaryen invasions of Westeros? When I first read about their DLC plans, I wondered if they were trying to deliberately do some work to support this mod without admitting it. It's quite coincidental.

Am I the only person who thinks the aztec invasions could be switched to white walkers or something?

I'm sad then, but if you could make it so white walkers could only have invasions on the night watch... that would be pretty *swish*

Wouldn't you then need to buy the DLC in order to play?

everthing the aztec invasion brings can be coded without the DLC it is just a copy of mongol invasions its the skins/portaits that are the main addition of SI

I was watching some "Let's Play" of this mod on youtube, some older versions of it.

Back then was really more easy to capture lord/mayors/etc in battle right?

This hardly happens to me.
