Favourite Region of Essos?

I saw one on Westeros, so I thought Essos was underrepresented. :D

Mine is either Braavos or Volantis.

Stepstones. As it's almost Dorne. Dorne's cool region of Westeros, and Westeros is much more cool than Essos ;P

For the reasons mentioned in the Thread for Westeros, probably Bravos as it is one of the only place where being an ordinary person is not completely shit; it has a fairly climbable social ladder, there's no slavery or serfdom and it has an interesting + very tolerant culture.
Here is a link to my personal list of FAQs. Please check there to see if it answers you question. The specific details aren't up to date, and I probably won't update it for a while, but the general ideas are unchanged.

Lys of course. Where else would you expect to see a naked woman printed on a coin ;)

I think Ibben,
Kind of the Iron Islands mixed up with the North.

Braavos, for the reasons EDAP mentioned. The only Free City where the idea of climbing the social ladder isn't almost completely an illusion. And the only place in all of the ASOIAF world where there are no slaves nor serfs.

I've always wanted to conquer the Stepstones/Disputed lands. It just has nice geography. And also pirates and brothels.

From the Free Cities definitely Braavos, I like the greek feel to it, and like others said it seems like one of the best places to live in Planetos. Volantis looks interesting too.

I really like the Slaver's Bay/Red Waste area for the Conan the Barbarian-esque feel to them, I really like the city with islamic-like architecture in the middle of the desert thing, specially Mereen since it's supposed to be the largest. Qarth seems very interesting, and it looks gorgeous in the tv show.

If i was a native i'd go for Qarth.
As newcomer i think braavos or pentos sound nice to me.

For Landscape i'd love to travel the Rhoyne and Noyne from Volantis to Norvos.

Greetings

Although it is currently a wasteland Valyria must've been a breathtaking place back in the day, and even now it is still so mysterious and ancient and full of potential adventure and treasures.

I don't really have a favorite, but if I had to pick it would be Valyria. Even through it does not exist any more it is still very important to the story-line and it has some of the deepest lore in Essos.

The Free Cities, as they are always swimming in coin (and they're fun to loot, too). Probably Lys is my favorite region to play/place to raid.

Braavos sounds like the least shite of all the free cities, and seeing the Titan would be incredible. The architecture and history of Volantis are incredible -- the oldest and strongest of all the Free Cities, and certainly one that I'd like to see, although the slavery is awful. I'd also be interested in going to the lands of Hyrkoon in the far east, where only the smartest, fairest, and strongest men are allowed to continue procreating. It would just be interesting to see what the result of actually efficient, governmental and societal-enforced eugenics looks like.

K´dath and Grey Waste. It´s just so mysterious, I would love to know what is in there.
Also Shadowlands and Asshai, for the same reason.
