Modding Issues

PostPosted by NovaFlare » Fri Jun 01, 2012 12:05

Hi, i am not very experienced installing mods into my games but i am a huge fan of a song of ice and fire, after hearing that crusader kings 2 had finally gotten a mod for it i was excited because i thought it was perfect medium. Anyway i managed to find a step by step on how to install the mod if you had bought the game on steam. I have extracted all of the files in the mod into C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\crusader kings ii\mod and when i open the crusader kings 2 there isn't anything in the mod section. What have i done wrong?

Did you extract the .mod to the /mod/ folder? Take a screenshot of it.

I have been trying to get my laptop to successfully upload my print screen for an hour now to no avail, i guess i will have to try and explain as best as i can, in the C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\crusader kings ii\mod folder i have three items in there, The game of thrones folder which includes all of the changes to the game, then i have a game of thrones.mod file and finally i have the notepad document with the information about the mod on it. Does all this sound like i have done it correctly?

when i opened the game earlier it said that the version was 1.05g, and when i looked that is the latest of the patches. Is this the wrong patch?

ive just looked at the compatible patch on the forum and it says it is only up to 1.05f, so i presume that i will have to go back 1 patch for my game to play it, ill try that now

1.05g is what you should be using. The mod shouldn't even be able to work on pirated versions since they can't be updated properly. My god what are you doing?
