Two quick questions:
1) Do I place the update files in the same folder as the main mod?
2) Can I continue my 0.1 save game with these update or do I need to start fresh?

No to both, you delete your older mod and replace it with the new version.
And it is not save-game compatible.

Hey there,
I'm following the mod for some time now, and I admire this ambitious mod. Btw, are the question marks as coats of arms in some vassal cases removed or are they still there?

We should have gotten them all, except for Summer Islanders. If you see any, let us know.

Why the crossing of the freys and some other little countries are independent at the beginning of "war of the usurper"?

I love the dueling. Best scenario happened, worthy of another season: When besieging Kings Landing as Eddard during the War of the Usurper, Catelyn gave birth to a son, whom ofcourse I named Robb. Suddenly Balon Greyjoy declares an Iron Raid on me, and quickly takes over Bear Island and Deepwood Motte. After kicking Aerys ass (but not yet winning the war nor saving Lyanna) I quickly return home and fight the Greyjoys, who are send routing. I chase them and fight them again, when the dueling event happens. Eddard notices Balon in the fighting, and though Balon is not as much a fighter as Eddard, he overcomes Eddard twice -first time only wounded, second time Eddard was on his way to meet his brother. I settle for a white peace since my treasury is running dry, when the now indepent King Robb stark gets a regent: Roose Bolton..

The Freys were effectively neutral in the War of the Usurper until after the Battle of the Trident. They showed up late for the battle, saying "Oh we were totally coming to help our liege" but apparently willing to pledge for whoever won.

Aye, i just registered myself too... didn't realized you had a dedicated forum, but indeed congratulation on the release.. It's mind boggling the cool features you already have like the Mega War System, and hell now even the Duel Engine, heh.

And as I've stated over on the official CK2 mod boards, that I can only imagine how awesome this mod will be 6 months or even a year from now and also just in case you guys check this a bit more than the CK 2 boards, just a few quick suggestions:

1) More Flavor Events!, yep this takes time I totally understand, but nevertheless just want to mention it, as I know some people have complaining about the "stagnation" that can happen when everything is quiet, and I've kind of experience this myself too (in the 2nd scenario you just made, "The Crowned Stag"), so I think adding more flavor events, and such will defiantly just spice things up more than usual, so it's simply something to think about.

2) More Building options, (I noticed some new ones, but lots of it is still from vanilla CK 2 it seems) I understand you've used the "Prince and Thane Mod" for some help with ambitions, so since you already have that relationship with the creator, perhaps you can also use the opportunity to check out all the new building options he has (naturally putting your own GoT spin to it) and that mod also has a ton of events, so perhaps those kind of events can give you some inspiration for your own if they haven't already.

3) Finally, i know this was mentioned already, but more "dynastic" rival events would be nice too see too.

Anyhow, that's all I wanted to say, so most of all looking forward to future updates, so good luck!

regards,

I know it is possible to convert to your liege's culture, so why can't a lord convert to his liege's religion? Plus in real life, it would be easier to change your religion than to change your culture completely.

I did the same. Not only is this mod one of the cleanest I've ever enjoyed but it was also released so quickly.

Amazing job. Seriously.

I haven't played vanilla CK2, Diablo 3, or SWTOR since it came out.
