Dismiss King's Guard as King

Yeah, I definitely think this should be a decision, or event, or however you manage to involve it in the game. There should be penalties because King's Guard is -suppose- to serve for life, but a clear example of one being dismissed is our beloved Barristan the Bold. I think it'd just be a nice little addition, for example someone I don't like is in the King's Guard, like I just took the throne, and a Frey is one of my guards. I don't want a Frey anywhere near me, so I'd definitely appreciate the option. Share your opinions on the matter!

You can dismiss them if you are at war with his family...

I was hoping for more of a peace-time dismiss. You know, just another something to do while you wait away the years between wars. Maybe you decide your King's Guard are too old, and you want some fresh new blood. If it's not possible, I completely understand. There are limits in the engine. Just a suggestion

I'll add it to my to-do list... but its really low priority...

I'd like this too, it would be useful... sometimes.

I'd like to take this one on, I think. There should definitely be some pretty significant negatives to doing this, but I like the idea of having it as an option.

The only case of dismissal from the Kingsguard was Barristan, and some other member during the Dance of the Dragons? Wasn't the Kingmaker put to death? Anyways, Jaime recalls that there were several members so old they lost their minds and probably ability to fight but still served.

Ser Terrence Toyne was dismembered for sleeping with Aegon IV's mistress (she was also killed). This caused the rest of the Kingsguard to attempt to kill Aegon, save Aemon the Dragonknight, who died fighting them. The remaining Kingsguard were all executed.

Ser Lucamore the Lusty was gelded and banished to the Wall for having fathered sixteen children
