More nicknames

I think it would be great to ask Syren for use of his mod!

Nicknames like the Wolf and such would be amazing, mostly playing as a Stark. Of course nicknames like the Saxon, the Nord and such would have to be changed or removed, heres a sample of some:
Stammerer
Stout
Stuttering and Lame
Spider(Varys! :D )
Suspicious
Terrible Eyes (Tywin!)
Theologian
Treacherous(Roose or Ramsay maybe?)
Truthful
Tyrant
Ugly
Upright
Vain
Wanton
Warrior
Weak
Wolf( Robb!)
Wrymouth

Wasn't Robb's nick ''the young wolf''? :)

Anyway I always support pointless RPG fluffy stuff. So +1

I added 378 new dynastic nicknames (for families with an identifiable sigil), their still WIP and feel abit samey atm... but when i get some more free time i will iron them out.
There is also a mechanic to distribute these nicknames to everyone, not just kings.

I like it. Is it just one per dynasty, though, or are there multiple variants? Strongboar, Razorback, Hogfather, etc. for Crakehall, and the like?

Right now only one dynasty member can have that particular dynastic nickname. I'm in favor of disabling the equivalent nickname across houses, too, but that's just me. I want to preserve the surprisal of them.

I get why paradox didn't wish to allow us to ''nick'' a character directly ingame,
but their nicknames proc way to rare and are too similar to be anything but irritating after awhile..

Perhaps they are holding out for a dlc? ;)

This can be done. But only with the nicknames provided by the game.
A decision to activate the nicknaming. (For high prestige rulers. Only prestigious rulers should be able to nickname guys!)
Once activated, the intrigue menu lists all dynasty members/courtiers.
You click in one of them.
Then an event pops up to choose the nickname. Nick A / Nick B / Nick C / Other
If clicked on "other" another event pops up with 3 more nicknames.
The final event will have a "No nickname", if you change your mind.
Finally, just for un-clutter the intrigue list, a decision to hide the nicknaming decisions.

I would love a "The Knight" nickname beyond just Harras Harlaw, that could be acquired by followers of the Drowned God or Old Gods who managed to snag the knight trait against all odds. I still see the very rare Old God worshipping knight pop in, seems like people with such a rare combination should have a chance to be rewarded.

adding on to this nickname 'the knight', I'd love to see dynastic 'knight' monikers. Aemon the Dragonknight comes to mind. Plus Loras 'knight of the flowers' which is already in for Loras at the time he gets it.

What if Jaime doesn't kill the mad king in a play-through and he becomes Lord Commander with Rhaegar as king, staying loyal to his oath until his last breath? Having a nick like the 'lion knight' would be cool.

Seeing as I believe we have a Turncloak trait, perhaps a Turncloak/Traitor/Deserter nickname?

And if honor is low enough, maybe "The Treacherous"

I want Theon Turncloak in the history files :-P

He is called the Lion of Lannister in the books, in addition to the Kingslayer (although, obviously, everybody who's not a Lannister only uses the more famous one). And Lord Damon Lannister (during the Blackfyre Rebellions) was nicknamed "The Grey Lion" due to his advanced age.

Thats what I meant. Minus his Kingslayer nick... he would have been the Lion knight or simply the 'Lion' of Lannister, hence the 'staying loyal to House Targaryen' bit I was alluding too. But he didn't... in one of our playthroughs though he could do. We can't have two nicknames for one person in CKII.

The Grey_Lion? Damn I forgot to add that to the character history. Thanks for that one.
