Well,

While they can't offiically support it due to legal reasons, you guys are defiantly making them notice it I think... Not sure if you guys saw over in the PI forums, but Doomdark just posted this

Hey folks, just thought I'd post about some stuff in the v1.06 patch that could affect the work of modders.

•The religion group tag "muslim" now specifically controls most new Muslim-specific features. That means you cannot turn on the Decadence system for anyone else, etc. We had to do it this way for Multiplayer reasons.
•You can no longer make Muslims playable just by changing a line in the religion file.
•I've added a flag to scripted dynasties: "divine_blood = yes". This will disable the incest restrictions for the dynasty and make members actually prefer inbreeding, though at a high risk of giving the "lunatic" trait to offspring. This should help a certain mod based on a popular series of novels.


Naturally bolded the main point that should concern you as that should make things mighty interesting now :).

So defiantly can't wait for a future version soon enough.

Besides the whole subforum debacle, PI really does notice it's community. Must also be a ffeather in the cap of the creators of this wonderful mod.

This sounds horrible... hope it wont force us to have just one major religion with everyone else being heretics... that will make the mod quite unplayable.

It's only if you have a "muslim =" in the religion. We don't care at all about it.
And if you mod vanilla, you can still change "muslim =" into "muslims =" and you'll be able to make muslims playable but without all the Sword of Islam benefit.

Well, from what I can work out, divine_blood = yes makes dynasties unplayable unless you own the Expansion, so if we want to use that they we'll have to make the Targaryens unplayable for people with only Vanilla. It's just paradox's way of trying to get us to make the new DLC a requirement for the mod to generate more sales.

Not necessarily a bad thing, if we make the mod require SoI then we can use the multiple wives thing for Wildlings and (potentially) Ironborn, although somehow make it so additional wives for the latter can only be lowborn.

Where did you get that from? Nowhere does he say that it will require the DLC, he said it was just a little extra thing he fancied doing.

What? AFAIK it's 1.06 patch feature, not SoI feature :shock:

My understanding is that You'll need SoI for the multiple wives, but you wont need it for the divine blood.

Aye, from what Doomdark states in the post and his replies those two important changes that perhaps pertain to you guys will indeed be available in 1.06 and not DLC, thus you won't need the DLC to use the two important script changes that pertain to you guys. (Wives perhaps down the line, and naturally the incest could be used almost immediately..)

We'll know for sure in 2 weeks, but I'm almost 99% that's the intention there too, heh.

Anyway, we can always put it in the files... if they have the DLC they will benefit from it, if they don't they won't but it won't stop them from playing.
