Running all the dlc except sunset invasion and only dynastic stability submod btw

Thanks for uploading. The dynasty should definitely be changing there, but is indeed not working. I've found it is a problem with the any_previous_holder, and so have added another check to fix the problem. Download in the first post includes this fix.

Maybe you fix it already(probobly download mod before 21.06) but report this just in case
Changing dynasty not work right sometimes

my trigger from earlier works, and will prevent the player dynasty from changing dynasties.

For some reason, when I start up the mod, I get an message with just 'A' on it that I can't get rid of. Have I installed it wrong?

Edit. nvm, installing a mod fixed it somehow.

This is a very elegant solution to the problem. Houses being extinguished through war should be normal, but the AI unfortunately makes some ridiculous marriages that end up extinguishing their own dynasties. And the son/daughter ratio sometimes seems off. Probably confirmation bias, but it's common for me to see nobles having around 4 children and all female.

Anyway, kudos for this system!

This actually happens too often in my opinion, and not just for the AI. I've had several games where my ruler had three or more daughters and never a son, even after taking a third wife. It's nice as a challenge once in a while, but it can get really frustrating when you're playing as a custom character and trying to build a dynasty, so this submod is definitely very useful.

I don't think this is overly useful anymore, I think there's some strict code to force matty marriages if a female rules. By strict I mean they will end betrothals even with the player's heir and marry courtiers.

It is still helpful. For example elwood's meadows heir is some distant tyrell cousin. If he dies then he becomes new lord but as he is 9000 in line to highgarden he changes his dynasty to meadows.

Ah, that's true but the major issue it addressed was the ai married stupidly and oddly had more daughters than sons, so dynasties would die out really quick just because they never matty married.
