Ah well if you want to go that way, then it needs to be inside the ROOT scopes of the crownlaw scope, so in addition to has_minor_title and dynasty =, it's
Code: Select all
OR = {
   character = ROOT
   dynasty = ROOT
   AND = {
      trait = ambitious
      relative_power = { who = PREV  power = 0.8 }
      not = { trait = just }
      (ETC)
   }
}

You'll still need an opinion added somewhere in the mix though and to remove the revoke illegal dragons decision.

This isn't exactly about this submod, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to mod it so that literally only targs can ever tame dragons. I've asked a few times before but I haven't exactly found a straight answer or anything that works. This submod is the closest thing I've gotten to what I want, so thank you for this! But if anyone could lay out when I need to edit that would be amazing.

add to all dragon taming/ hatcing decisions

under
potential = {
add
dynasty = 496

so only targs will ever be able to use the decision

Big little issue I'm having:

So these past few game years have been goinng well for me; especially with my Dragon spawning multiple eggs. Just now, I decided to give away four of the five Dragons that were mine (obviously keeping the biggest for myself) and I was lucky enough to notice that I lost my Dragon Rider trait. Needless to say I jumped up quickly and re-tamed him, thank goodness.

Just wondering if it's an intentional part of the mod, or no?

shouldnt happen
Code: Select all
IF = {
            limit = {
               NOT = {
                  any_friend = { trait = dragon }
               }
            }
            remove_trait = dragon_rider
         }

unless this bit is not working.

Edit: though i've noticed that this bit is only on option A, not on B nor C

It's only on option one because if you only have 1 dragon to give away then you'd only have 1 option. Gifting your only dragon would make you not a dragon rider so you should lose the trait. It's limited to not having a dragon friend though, as shown, so shouldn't be removed if you still have one. Anyone else having the issue?

Any specifics? I just ran it for a month as Aegon and it didn't end.
Edit* Rhaenyra for a month as well, no random end war.

Well, for me the war ends after one day and in the menu where you choose your character to play, Rhaenyra is shown in a war with The Three Daughters, not with the Iron Throne. Can be some other sub-mod that I use?

Thats all the sub-mods that i used when i tried the Dragon Tamer Laws and Dragon Theft:

Probably, try turning them all off and turning them back on one by one until it breaks again to narrow it down.

I stole an egg from my courtier by imprisoning him. At the meantime, I happened to be a dragonrider thanks to one of my recently fallen dragonriders. Now, I hatched the egg i stole and i intend to give the hatched baby dragon to my heir. But when I right clicked baby dragon and clicked gift it, somehow, i managed to gift hatchling to my current dragon and they became friend with each other :D giving me and my heir no dragons at all. I clicked stole dragon option and acquired mine but now baby dragon has no friend or rider.

I'll block dragons from being gifted a dragon for a future update.

Yep it's an issue between Microsoft and ModDb. Microsoft flagged one of ModDb's host servers(or the like) so anything they have held on it is flagged as a virus by some anti viruses. I messaged ModDb about it last week when I figured it out, but they haven't responded.

Added Teach about Dragons diplomacy to teach an egg holder/dragon owner(not a dragon rider), that you are related to in some manner(Friend, Family, Child, Spouse, Lover), about Dragons, giving them the special flags for visiting the famous Dragon locations.
Edit* Missed adding one of the flags, fixed.
Fixed Gift dragon code, shouldn't only show 1 option now.

Is there any way to get ahold of untamed dragons while on appointed, short of having your ruler give away their dragon and just take the untamed one personally?

Well add_friend console command works.

You can also try removing NOT = { any_friend = { trait = dragon } } line from the steal_dragon decision. It should allow you to nick a wild dragon then. I wasn't overly elaborate in it's writing.

Figured that'd probably be all. Wouldn't mind if the appointments could be given to a bit wider variety-say any member of the ruling dynasty, and maybe landed heads of other dynasty. This way if say you formed the freehold you could not only assign normal dragonriders for the targs and have a head start, you could freely pass a title to each of the other high valyrian patricians so their heads had a chance to secure any dragons that wandered around free after awhile, allowing a return of ruling dragonlords.

That said, not sure how letting all patrician houses have access to dragons would workout.

Yeah, the tamer title doesn't really cover it since it's only applicable for direct vassals. Need to think of a new method.
